In describing him, I mentioned SMART as an adjective to describe him.Well, SMART he is. First of all, if any of you are new, Mini #1 is 3!!!
Not 13 or even 30, 3...1, 2, 3!
Yesterday, Mini #1 was taking his sweet time in finishing breakfast and getting dressed before school and we were alread pressed for time. I also forgot something he was supposed to take to school, so we had a stop to make before school and the "Thank You Ida" weather wasn't helping. him
So, I say to him "Don't worry, Mini #1*, take your time. I have all day."
To which he responds to me "Mom, don't be cynical."
CYNICAL...You read that correctly. Yes, my 3 year old son not only used the word CYNICAL in a conversation with me, used it CORRECTLY!
I am not kidding...I thought I was going to pass out and wet my pants at the same time.
I asked him where he learned that word and he just laughed. I never could get him to tell me.
If this is 3, I am excited, nervous, and scared to see what his teenage years bring.

haha that's right to probably be a little bit scared of 12 years from now! it's amazing how much kids pick up from adults, and so funny that he won't tell you where he learned it from!

ReplyDeleteUm, would Mini #1 be available to come in and guest lecture on vocab to my high school students? Maybe teach a few words/definitions/sentence structure lessons to them.
