Overheard and Help

Mini #1's best friend Abby came over to play. The afternoon was full of bike riding, sidewalk chalking, crafting, snacking, playing, and giggles. They are cute together and have so much fun.
I was in Mini #2's room and overheard this little conversation:

Mini #1: "But I don't want to do that. "

Abby: "You need to listen to me. I am the girl."

Mini #1: "Ooooookkkkk" (with a sigh-that is is famous for saying to me) "I have to listen to my mom all of the time."

Poor little man...it is starting already for him.

I would like to be able to replay that last line for him when he doesn't listen. He is such a comedian-"I have to listen to my mom all of the time." RIIIIIIIIGHT.

A friend from one of the groups that I belong to had their family home destroyed this week by fire. This is such a terrible thing, truly one of my worst nightmares and really makes you stop, take a minute to reflect, and be thankful. This family has three small children and are now trying to cope, figure things out and rebuild their lives. The cause of the fire is still unknown and they are staying with some family for the time being.
I have decided to donate ALL PROFITS FROM MOLLY LOU GIFTS to this family. Take a peek at the shop. We have some wonderful spring gifts perfect for Easter, Mother's Day, Graduations, Birthdays, etc. Think about getting some personalized stationery sets, plates for spring and summer eating, fun greeting cards (see next line), buckets and children's personalized shirts. We are also still running The Kiwi Tree Greeting Card-Buy 3, Get 1 free with free shipping special. Thanks so much for your support, thoughts, and prayers.

Happy Weekend.

  1. Lallie is just getting to the age where she can communicate really well and be sarcastic or joking, it's SO funny! I look forward to her being Mini 1's age!
So sorry about your friend and their home, you're right, that is a nightmare. Prayers for them! Thank you for your blog comment, I have been SO out of the loop, but will be back full swing next week!

  2. Such a cute story, poor little guy!

I am so sorry to hear about your friend and thier fire. One of my close friends had this happen to her family, and she had three children at the time too. I will definitely check out your shop, I have some upcoming graduation gifts to purchase. So kind of you to help them out like this during this challenging time.

Hope you have a great weekend! XO

  3. So sorry to hear about the family that lost their home. That's such a great gesture you're making. I'll keep them in my prayers.

Kids' conversations are priceless! Isn't it great that the weather is turning so they can get outside more to play?

  4. Oh I love it! I wonder if that's why Mr. Potts listens to me - because I'm the girl?

My word verification is untan - which is quite accurate at the moment. I'm severely UNTAN!!

    Happy Friday!
