Scene: Elevator in the hotel yesterday morning.
Elevator opens and there is a man that works at the hotel already occupying the elevator car. The minis and I get in to head downstairs.
Me: "Can you say good morning to the nice man?"
Mini #1: "Good morning sir."
Mini #2: "Blah, blah, blah." (Smiling)
Hotel Man: " 'sup"
Mini #1: "Hahahaha. What did you say-soup? You're supposed to say hello. hahahaha"
Me: trying not to giggle, turning bright red. "No, he said 'sup, like what's up?"
Hotel Man: nothing.
The hotel elevator doors could not open soon enough.
End scene.
Leave it to MY child to do that...oh the power of a child's mind. :) Happy Monday.

So cute! Children really have no filter & I think that is what keeps most of us on our toes!
ReplyDeleteHilarious! Maybe that will teach the gentlement to use proper language! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious!!!! Honestly though, the hotel man couldn't say "hello"? Too funny!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's great. It sounds like a commercial!
ReplyDeleteYou can always count on the little ones to say the best lines (and to make us sweat under the collar at the same time).
ReplyDeleteBwahahaha! Too cute!! You're Mini #1 has more sense than a grown man!!
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs,
Karyn
Oh gosh it must be this age!! J is constantly 'correcting' others. We're going to have to find that fine line between being bossy and having a nice suggestion! lol
ReplyDeleteAren't children so precious! My almost 3yr old told a man he was stinky in the supermarket check-out line. I def. wanted to crawl into a hole.
ReplyDeleteWell, in Mini #1's defense...he was totally right! Bold, but right!
ReplyDeleteManners and full pronunciation are definitely important. Glad your babies understand that! (More than I can say for lots of adults I meet!)
Ending my English teacher rant now...
That's adorable! Mini #1 was right, he was supposed to say hello! hehe
ReplyDeleteWay to go mini#1! And you for being such a good mom!
