Exhotted???
Scene from Mini #1 at bedtime last night:
(Mini #1 playing trains and working on a new track on his floor and sees us at his door.)
Mini #1: "Hey guys. Want to help me with this new track? Watch this..."
Mr: "Wow, that's awesome, but dude it's bedtime."
Me: "Great job, sweetheart, but it is storytime. Come on."
Mini #1: "But I'm not exhotted."
Mr.: "Exhotted? Is that anything like exhausted?"
Mini #1: "No, I said I'm not exhotted. I want to play with my trains."
Me: "Sweet boy, I think you mean exhausted. It's bedtime and Mommy and Daddy are exhausted."
Mini #1: "Um, Mom, it's not exhausted. That's not right. It's exhotted and I'm not exhotted. I don't want to go to bed."
(This continues on for a bit. Mr. makes some joke about him being an exotic exhotted boy. Mini gives him his usual look and eye roll. After a few more persuasive techniques, we read from Pirates Past Noon and All Aboard Trains and he passes out quickly-he may not have been exhausted, but definitely exhotted.)
I hope you all had a great weekend, but between family being in town for a visit, sickness, a holiday to throw off the schedule, I am EXHOTTED.
Have a great day.
