I think I have to have Martha Stewart's Encyclopedia of Crafts: An A-to-Z Guide with Detailed Instructions and Endless Inspiration.
Publisher's Weekly said this about the encyclopedia: "Stewart leaves no craft behind in this extensive compilation covering every craft for the DIY set, from albums and scrapbooks to wreaths. With more than 1,000 photos and 100 line drawings, Stewart provides step-by-step instructions for something as simple as making a shell soap dish to the more complicated marbleizing paper. Fans of Stewart, from kids to adults, will not be disappointed with the range of crafts, from folded-paper projects, photo-printed pillows, quilting and candle making to oldies-but-goodies like tissue paper flowers, rubber stamping and decoupage. Each subject is arranged in alphabetical order, and begins with an overview of the craft and the supplies needed, then continues with variations on the featured craft and tips for success..."I mean seriously, 416 pages of CRAFTS and photos! I need this book like I need a hole in the head. I am not very creative, but I soooooooooooooooo desperately want to be. Regardless of how you feel about Martha, you have to agree that she makes everything look easy and has some good ideas. Since I have so much extra time on my hands, I'm sure that I could whip up a few crafts a day from her book-no problem! I just REALLY want it and I looked it up on Barnes & Noble's website and it is only $22.75...what a bargain!
I hinted at this to Mr. Molly Lou for a Mother's Day gift, but he has some hate towards Martha and clearly either didn't pick up on the hint or just ignored it.
Does anyone have this book?
Have a great day! Cheers!
It's only $.05 per page -- that's a bargain! That's a very low cost per craft idea :) Feel free to use this line of thinking with Mr. Molly Lou, I'm sure he will rethink the whole Martha dislike and see the bargain!
