Already????

I just need to get my head screwed on right today.

I am in this funk now that the holidays are over and life is back to normal.

Our Christmas decorations seem like a distant blur, Mr. is back to work and we are at home (it feels like forever since I have had a week alone with the minis), and the excitement and awe that was the season has slipped through my fingers no matter how much I tried to hold on to it.

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's. We hosted this year and truly loved spending time together. The minis enjoyed all that was offered. They are such amazing children.

We even finished off our holiday season with a trip to Atlanta on Saturday/Sunday taking the children to the Georgia Aquarium and "the big city."

I need to fix my attitude and get on with it. There is so much to do.

On another note, who loved Brothers & Sisters last night??? I always do and this one was just perfect. I could write a novel on my love for Rob Lowe too.

I digress. Below is the quote that I need to keep in my head while getting my head back to normal. Have a great day!

"What's important are all the days still to come..." ~Nora, Brothers & Sisters

  1. I'm with you on the post-Christmas blues. There's so much build-up to the holidays and when it's all said and done, we're left asking "Where did it go?!" If only the weather were nicer, that would make it easier to get back into the groove. After New Year's, I'm ready for spring to arrive!

  2. I love that quote. The days to come are really what we should focus on rather than looking back.

How was the aquarium? I want to take my niece there & am just trying to figure out when.

  4. I have never watched that show, but it sounds like I need to do so. I have heard several people rave about it. Love the quote, anyway.

  5. My funky funk came last week...er, last year?! LOL Seriously, it was like immediate, too. The day after Christmas I was all Scrooge-y/Grinch-y. It was ridiculous.

You'll snap out of it soon. I did. Too bad we didn't live closer together...we could be "blah" together & daydream about Mexico.

  6. That is a great quote! I know...we so need to catch up. It has been a little crazy around here but we need to email each other soon! BTW, I have a stove repair guy coming AGAIN today. I could just scream!

  7. Oh honey - we are all in that same funk. And it is too darn cold here to walk on the greenway. That always makes me feel better. And no sunshine - just drab, gray clouds! But we will prevail!! No worry there. Hugs. xoxo

  8. It's hard to get back into normal life, isn't it? I'm dreading it myself!

Although B&S last night was a great way to ease into it!

  9. I totally agree with you about having to get back to the "normal" routine of things! EWWW! oh well...

(Thank you so much for stopping by and for your lovely comments!...it is never too late! It's always exciting to find a comment that you have left :o)

And like you may have read on one of my recent posts...it was hard for me to see our son, daughters, and son-in-law have to leave, from their visit with us here in Coastal Georgia. As much as we enjoy it here, right outside of Savannah, I can't wait til my hubby and I move to live nearer to where they are in KY.)

So, I am right there with ya...regarding needing to "fix my attitude!"

Blessings & aloha, dear friend!(sorry for my mega comment...my hubby says all the time that I need to be less wordy! haha, it is true! but I can't help it!
